Espree Devora is known as “the Girl who Gets it Done” She has provided seminars in interactive content and social media to many corporations and universities including Disney, CBS, International Association of Skateboard Companies, USC Executive MBA and Georgetown MBA. She co-produced the panel “WHERE’S WALDO? Finding Social Influencers & Decreasing Your Costs” which brought in over 11,500 viewers in under an hour via live stream, making it the highest viewed independent panel at the time. She started her first online company at the start of college and fell in love with the start up culture.
She created WeAreLATech.com which hosts the 1st podcast focused on LA Startups (hit #2 on iTunes across all categories in New & Noteworthy), the most comprehensive community calendar of all LA Startup events and a job board exclusively for LA Startups. WeAreLATech is a hub for entrepreneurs to connect to resources in the Silicon Beach community, similar to the likes of a city tourist office for any traveller. Recenlty she was featured on Santa Monica Daily Press ‘Faces of Silicon Beach’.
Previously she was VP of Communications for Semaphore, the leading tax and business solutions firm for YouTubers. Every YouTuber is an entreprenuer. Semaphore helps YouTube channel owners handle the business side of things so content creators can focus on doing what they love, making awesome videos. She began using YouTube in 2007 for her action sports company when her media team would fly around the country shooting top athletes like Shaun White, Tony Hawk and Ryan Sheckler to produce action sports videos like this one…
She founded ZexSports in her early 20s. It was a digital media company that connected brands to youth through local action sports events. The sports included; skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motocross, bmx. Along with Women in Action Sports (WIAS) which provided a platform for women athletes and entrepreneurs to engage, prosper and accomplish individual goals in a male-dominated industry of Action Sports.
Her experience being an entrepreneur led to discovering time saving business software allowing her to stay lean and get the job done. She blogs about the tools she continues to find on SaveBusinessTime.com, a curated site of the of the best productivity tools for startups to save 40 hours a week.
Throughout the years she is passionate about being a contributing journalist for TechZulu, a media hub reporting on the growth of start ups and innovations in technology.
Her secret personal hobby is taking pics of cool sneakers for her photo blog Sneaks Attack.
